Jewelry made of metals, especially chains, always requires the use of components, called jumprings. They are one of the most universal jewelry findings, because their role cannot be overestimated - they connect the individual fragments of the accessory. They are divided into those that are open (cut), and closed (soldered). The most numerous category includes open jump rings, which are easy to open, put on desired place and close. An example is the open jump ring for jewelry making shown in the picture. Thanks to the jump rings, we attach the pendant directly to the necklace, bracelet or bail, as well as the clasp on a chain or other carrier. Silver jump rings are also often necessary to mount the lobster claw to the charm pendant. You can also make chain extensions yourself from only the silver rings. The culmination of their use is the creation of jewelry using the chainmaille technique - consisting in connecting rings with each other according to specific patterns.
