Earring findings are a large group of structural components, which are diverse in terms of construction, fastening options and the method of assembling the proper decoration of the earring. In this group, earring settings are very popular, which in turn can be divided into three more types: leverbacks, open and closed ear wires. An example of the latter type is a closed kidney ear wire with ball and loop. The term closed indicates the possibility of closing its circumference, but without mechanical solutions, such as in leverbacks. These types of designs are made of wire and are simple, which can also be made at home. However, it takes practice, time, patience and tools, while the finished earring hooks are a convenient component that greatly facilitates the work on composing ear decorations. In addition, the ear wire with an eyelet and a ball is available in several options of galvanic coating made of gold, rhodium and platinum. Obtaining such opportunities is limited at home or in a jewelry workshop. The presented finding is a hanging variant.
